Papi Churro (he/him)

Papi Churro is a Two-Spirit Drag King, Activista, and Cultural Preserver who comes from Coahuilitecan and Nahua-Otomi heritages. A Drag Performer of 8 years, he is from Texas and recently transplanted to the Bay Area. He has performed throughout the US in festivals such as Bushwig, Austin International Drag Festival, Texas Burlesque Festival, Texas Queerlesque Festival, Oaklash, and during Pride Celebrations in NYC, Redding, Chico, San Antonio, Austin and Montana. As a Cultural Preserver, he works with the La La Land Back Troupe with Landa Lakes and Lady Shug and has performed at the Smithsonian Museum for the American Indian, the Montana Two-Spirit Society, Weaving Spirits Two-Spirit Performance Festival, and Illuminative's Wagon Burners showcase in Denver, Colorado. He holds the titles of Mr. Gay Austin for Life and is the current Reigning High King Supreme for the Emerald City Kings Ball 2023. As an Activista, he uses Danzante Azteca to offer prayer and solidarity using Nahua spiritualism.

Jota Mercury (they/he)

Jota Mercury is an international award winning drag performer who uses drag to  challenge machismo as we know it. They are Mexican-American and Indigenous, originally from Fresno, California but entertaining crowds in the greater bay area for the past six years. You may recognize him performing alongside his drag brothers in the following troupes: Rebel Kings of Oakland, Yeah Girl, and Nine Inch Males. He’s participated in global competitions, going as far as Panama City, Panama to perform his El Rey act for the Panama Burlesque Festival. They are 48Hills best drag king of the bay for 2020, 2021, and 2023.

Luke Modelo (he/him)

Luke Modelo is a Chicanx drag king who calls the San Francisco Bay Area home. Luke started drag in 2019 and quickly became known for electrifying performances and unique story telling, be it through the screen or on stage. He has performed throughout the continental United States, and most recently completed a Seattle-to-Seoul tour in 2023. Luke is also on the planning committee for Women’s Weekend Russian River and is a regular performer there.

Drawing on his career in digital accessibility, theatre and performance studies background, love for dance, and indigenous healing practice, he strives to challenge drag status quo while entertaining the audience. So drink up! Because this hombre’s about to quench your thirst.

Rosa Robada (they/them)

Featured in the Bay Area Tarot deck as the 6 of wands, Rosa Robada is an Oakland based Latine/Indigenous dancer, internationally published model, and B movie actress.

SIR VEZA (he/him)

SIR VESA is a romantic chicano looking for love in all the wrong places. His performances often combine cultural commentary and personal narrative. He is an act of healing to honor the passing of so many romantics in the artist’s family. Born and raised in the Bay (baby), when not on stage SIR VESA is a digital producer, educator, & filmmaker working to create intergenerational impact in the Bay Area.
